CytRx, FDA Agree on Rolling NDA Submission

CytRx Corp. and FDA have reached an agreement to allow the company to submit a rolling 505(b)(2) NDA for aldoxorubicin in soft tissue sarcomas (STS). The company says it is planning to complete the submission in the fourth quarter. Previously, the agency granted aldoxorubicin an orphan drug designation for treating STS. “New data could allow future use of aldoxorubicin in neoadjuvant (pre-surgery) settings,” the company says, adding that it is evaluating the therapy’s use in combination with other chemotherapeutics and immunotherapies.
