Daxor Files 510(k) for Next-Gen Blood Analyzer

Daxor Corp. has filed a 510(k) seeking FDA clearance for its next-generation blood volume analyzer, Daxor BVA. The new device “represents a significant leap forward in diagnostic technology, offering direct quantification of intravascular blood, red blood cell, and plasma volume,” according to the company. It says that compared to its predecessor, the Daxor BVA-100 system, the new analyzer is engineered to be:

Significantly simpler to operate
