# Device Inspection Compliance Program Revised

FDA has updated its Compliance Program Guidance Manual for the [Inspection of Medical Device Manufacturers, Compliance Program 7382.845](https://www.fda.gov/media/80195/download?ref=fdaweb.com) to “clarify current processes, incorporate new authorities, and update references and program contacts.” For example, the revised manual addresses Section 704(a)(4) of the FD&C Act, which was revised by the Food and Drug Omnibus Reform Act of 2022\. This section gave FDA authority to request any records or other information that it may inspect in advance of or in lieu of inspections of specified establishments.
