# Device Measuring Neurologic State Cleared

FDA has cleared a Forest Devices 510(k) for the[ SignalNED Model RE System](https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfpmn/pmn.cfm?ID=K242306&ref=fdaweb.com), a device that uses electroencephalogram (EEG) technology to analyze a patient’s brain to provide clinicians with relevant information about their neurologic state. It “utilizes a novel, rapidly deployed EEG headset (the Sensor Cap) along with a portable device to rapidly acquire EEG from a patient,” the company says. The device and headset work together and feature easy-to-use hardware that allows users to apply the device and run the test in five to seven minutes, it adds.
