Device RWE Partnership

The National Evaluation System for Health Technology Coordinating Center (NESTcc), created by the Medical Device Innovation Consortium, is partnering with Aetion, a real-world evidence (RWE) analytics provider, in a five-year effort to advance the use of RWE in medical devices and diagnostics. An announcement says that as part of the strategic partnership, Aetion will collaborate in developing NESTcc’s Analytics Core, services, capabilities, and partners that “enhance the ability to catalyze RWE in medical devices.”

NESTcc says it also will leverage Aetion’s expertise in developing and executing the Active Surveillance Program that is part of FDA’s 2018 Medical Device Safety Action Plan.
