# Doc Bought Oncology Meds to Sell for Profit: DoJ

The Department of Justice says **Anise Kachadourian** of Towaco, NJ, pleaded guilty in a New Jersey federal court to using her medical license, and allowing others to use it, to purchase prescription oncology medicines under false pretenses to sell them for profit. A department [statement](https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/press-releases/new-jersey-doctor-admits-buying-and-selling-oncology-medication-profit-0?ref=fdaweb.com) says the oncologist was paid more than $170,000 for purchasing and allowing others to purchase in her name millions of dollars in prescription drugs from 10/2016 through 1/2019\. She is the third doctor to plead guilty in connection with this fraudulent scheme, the department says.

It says special agents from the FDA Office of Criminal Investigations were part of the investigation that led to the guilty plea.
