# DoJ Charges Man in Misbranded Rx Drug Case

The [Department of Justice](https://www.justice.gov/usao-nv/pr/henderson-man-indicted-illegal-smuggling-and-distribution-erectile-dysfunction?ref=fdaweb.com) has charged **David Ralph Webber** of Henderson, NV, with smuggling and selling misbranded prescription drugs marketed as sexual enhancement supplements. Webber, the owner of two Nevada companies, allegedly imported hundreds of thousands of capsules containing sildenafil and tadalafil — the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis — from manufacturers in India and distributed them through smoke shops, convenience stores, adult novelty shops, and his own Web site. The case was investigated by FDA and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

According to prosecutors, the capsules were falsely marketed as “100% natural” and sold without prescriptions, posing potential health risks, particularly for people taking heart or blood-thinning medications.
