# Draeger Recalls SafeStar 90 Plus Ventilator Filters

Draeger has recalled (Class 1) its SafeStar 90 Plus bidirectional breathing system filter after receiving reports of slow increase of CO2-curve when a gas sample is taken from the filter’s sampling port, according to a [recall notice](https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfres/res.cfm?id=214237&ref=fdaweb.com). The filters are designed for infection prophylaxis during mechanical ventilation, particularly in anesthesia and respiratory applications. FDA has determined that the cause for the recall is process control-related, the notice says.
