# Duchenne Trial on Clinical Hold

FDA has placed the Solid Biosciences IGNITE DMD Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Phase 1/2 clinical trial on a clinical hold following a serious adverse event that occurred in the first patient dosed with SGT-001 in the trial. A company [statement](https://www.solidbio.com/content/letter-duchenne-community-about-status-ignite-dmd-clinical-trial?ref=fdaweb.com) says the patient was admitted to the hospital, was treated, and has returned home to his family with no symptoms.

“The team at Solid will be working with the principal investigator and FDA to fully understand the cause and nature of this event, as well as identify appropriate next steps as soon as possible,” the company says.
