e-Certificates of Pharmaceutical Product Now Have QR Code

FDA says that it is now issuing electronic Certificates of Pharmaceutical Product (eCPPs) that also include a unique Quick Response (QR) code to permit quicker verification of the authenticity of eCPPs. “Anyone, including foreign governments, that receives an eCPP for human drug products exported from the U.S. FDA may verify the authenticity of these certificates using one of the options below,” an agency notice says. QR codes can be read through a mobile phone’s camera application, which will navigate users to the agency’s Unified Registration and Listing System Export Certification Validator Portal.
