Electronic Common Document Updated Support Package Out

The International Council for Harmonization (ICH) M8: Electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) Implementation Working Group has issued updated support materials for eCTD v4.0. An ICH statement (contains links to the support materials) says the updates cover the implementation guide package, the controlled vocabulary package, and the Q&A document.

The eCTD is described as a globally agreed-upon standardized electronic format used to submit pharmaceutical product information to regulatory authorities for review and approval. It is said to organize all the scientific, clinical, quality, and administrative documents in a harmonized digital format that can be used across different countries and regions, making submissions and updates easier to manage and review.
