FDA has cleared an eMurmur 510(k) for the eMurmur ID Solution for detecting heart murmurs. The company says the mobile and cloud device operates in conjunction with a third-party electronic stethoscope. The device is a mobile and cloud solution that analyzes heart sounds to identify innocent and pathological heart murmurs, the absence of a heart murmur, heart rate and heart sound markers (S1/S2). The device comprises artificial intelligence-based analytics, a mobile app, and a Web portal – all FDA cleared and HIPAA compliant, the company says. It supports the workflows of healthcare providers performing cardiac auscultation and has multiple applications including primary and specialty care, telemedicine, and corporate health.
