# English Doctor Attacks FDA/CDC Covid Vaccine Data

*\[Report by Jim Dickinson\]* Data cited by FDA and CDC to support vaccinating everyone over age six months against the latest Covid-19 variants are “quite incredible … it’s almost as if the CDC were arithmetically challenged,” according to retired [English doctor **John L. Campbell**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John%5FCampbell%5F%28YouTuber%29?ref=fdaweb.com) in a scathing [15-minute YouTube critique](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXUQqghzPB0&ref=fdaweb.com) posted 9/15 after CDC’s recommendation became public. Followed by 2.8 million subscribers despite being faulted for spreading misinformation, Campbell picked apart the CDC Web site’s analysis of projected covid casualties to be prevented by vaccination, noting that nowhere in the analysis was the FDA term “safe and effective” used for the vaccines.

He said that the underlying participant-level scientific data supporting the new covid vaccines have not been made public by either FDA or CDC – “withheld,” he suggested. “One million \[Pfizer\] doses will prevent 19-95 hospitalizations or 1,000 serious adverse reactions in 12-to-17-year-olds,” he paraphrased from CDC’s Web site, before going on to describe Covid symptoms “for the vast majority of people” as no worse than those of the common cold. “To me, the risk-benefit analysis does not add up.”

Campbell quoted from a vaccine-skeptical report in the *British Medical Journal* last year that suggested that FDA is beholden to user-fee funding from the pharmaceutical industry that makes it “no longer possible to get unbiased decisions” from the agency about the products it was established to regulate. The same journal, he said, had reported Pfizer and Moderna proposals to quadruple the per-dose price of their vaccines to around $110-130.

And Campbell claimed that nine of the last 10 FDA commissioners went on to work for drug companies, but ***FDA Webview*** found that only seven did. More important than where ex-commissioners go to work as an indicator of possible bias would be where lower-level Center managers and their subordinates both come from and then go to after leaving the agency, but nobody publicly monitors those movements.
