# EUA for Roche Home Covid Rapid Test

FDA has approved an emergency use authorization for a Roche Covid-19 at-home rapid test that can be used by people as young as 14\. The company [says](https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/roche-says-at-home-covid-19-rapid-test-gets-ok-fda-2021-12-24/?ref=fdaweb.com) the test uses an anterior nasal swab and produces “accurate, reliable, and quick results in as few as 20 minutes” for SARS-CoV-2 and all variants of concern, including omicron.

The company says it can produce tens of millions of tests per month once it is available in the U.S. this month.
