# Exela Pharma Recalls 49 Sodium Bicarbonate Lots

Exela Pharma Sciences (Lenoir, NC) has recalled 49 lots of sodium bicarbonate injection, 8.4%, 50 mEq/50 mL vials, due to safety concerns about vial breakage and flying glass when pressurized while preparing the product for administration. The product is used for treating metabolic acidosis.
