FDA Approves Allergan’s Juvéderm Vollure XC

FDA has approved Allergan’s Juvéderm Vollure XC gel for correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, in adults aged 21 and older. Approval was based on data from a U.S pivotal clinical trial where the majority (59%) of subjects saw improvement in moderate to severe nasolabial folds for up to 18 months, according to the company. It says patient satisfaction in the pivotal study was also high: 82% of patients said they were very satisfied at six months and 68% at 18 months.
