# FDA Approves Teva's Ajovy Autoinjector

FDA has approved a Teva Pharmaceuticals autoinjector device for its Ajovy (fremanezumab-vfrm) injection for preventing migraine in adults. Previously, the calcitonin gene-related peptide antagonist was approved for administration in a pre-filled syringe. Teva says that hypersensitivity reactions, including rash, pruritus, drug hypersensitivity, and urticaria were reported with Ajovy in clinical trials. Most reactions were mild to moderate, but some led to discontinuation or required corticosteroid treatment. Additionally, it says that the most common adverse reactions were injection site-related.
