FDA Cancels Panel Meeting for Tardive Dyskinesia Drug

FDA has canceled a 2/16-planned Psychopharmacologic Drugs Advisory Committee meeting to review a Neurocrine Biosciences NDA for Ingrezza (valbenazine) for treating tardive dyskinesia. FDA told Neurocrine that the priority review of the NDA is continuing as planned with a user fee target action date of 4/11, according to the company. The submission includes data from the Kinect 2 and Kinect 3 clinical trials along with the results from another 18 clinical trials. The agency granted a Breakthrough Therapy designation for the therapy in 2014.
