FDA Clears Endochoice Single Use Suction Valves

FDA has cleared an EndoChoice Holdings 510(k) for the Orca sterile, single-use air/water and suction valves for Olympus 160, 180 and 190 Series flexible endoscopes. The company says the device is designed to eliminate the need to clean and disinfect reusable valves. It adheres to recently published clinical guidelines from Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates on reusable endoscopic accessories.
