# FDA Clears Philips’ SmartSpeed Precise Software

FDA has given 510(k) clearance to Philips’ SmartSpeed Precise dual AI (artificial intelligence) software across the company’s entire portfolio of MRI systems. A company [statement](https://www.philips.com/a-w/about/news/archive/standard/news/articles/2025/philips-advances-mri-speed-and-precision-with-fda-510k-clearance-of-smartspeed-precise-dual-ai-software?ref=fdaweb.com) says SmartSpeed Precise combines:

- compressed SENSE, Philips’ acceleration engine;
- an AI-powered denoising engine that enhances image clarity by reducing noise; and
- a second AI engine for image sharpening and anti-ringing.

The company says the system delivers up to 80% sharper images, increasing diagnostic confidence in complex areas like neurology, oncology, and cardiology.
