FDA has given 510(k) clearance to the Philips SmartSpeed artificial intelligence (AI)-powered MR acceleration software. The company [says](https://www.philips.com/a-w/about/news/archive/standard/news/press/2022/20220712-philips-spotlights-latest-ai-powered-software-defined-mr-smart-systems-at-ecr-2022?ref=fdaweb.com) SmartSpeed adds advanced AI data collection algorithms to its existing Compressed SENSE MR acceleration engine to deliver higher image resolution with three times faster scan times and virtually no loss in image quality.
