# FDA Clears Qynapse Brain Analysis Software

FDA has cleared a Qynapse 510(k) for its QyScore software that analyzes brain MRI markers that occur early in diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. The software is intended to generate a patient report that is compared to a healthy subjects database to support neurologists and radiologists in their clinical decision-making, according to the company. It provides an automatic quantification of markers such as brain atrophy and white matter hyperintensities to support a timely diagnosis and monitoring of disease progression. QyScore can also be used in clinical trials for monitoring drug efficacy and safety, it says.
