FDA Clears SureMAX-X Cervical Spacer

FDA has cleared an Additive Implants 510(k) for the SureMAX-X Cervical Spacer, a 3D-printed titanium spinal surgery device designed to create uniform end plate coverage and optimize load distribution. The device’s roughened porous and convex shaped surface provides contact with the bony endplates, the company says. Its large lateral windows permit radiographic confirmation of healing, it adds. The spacers come in footprint sizes 12 x 14mm, 14 x 16mm, 15 x 18mm, and 15 x 20mm.
