FDA has cleared the Zimmer Biomet Persona SoluTion Porous Plasma Spray Femur, a total knee implant component that is an alternative for patients with sensitivities to bone cement and/or metal. A company [statement](https://investor.zimmerbiomet.com/news-and-events/news/2024/12-04-2024-123035564?ref=fdaweb.com) says the Persona features a porous coating for cementless fixation and leverages a proprietary surface treatment intended to enhance wear performance. The company says the product will be available in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2025.
