# FDA Clinical Hold on Poseida Prostate Cancer Drug Trial

FDA has placed a clinical hold on a Poseida Therapeutics Phase 1 clinical trial for its P-PSMA-101 in metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer. In a Securities and Exchange Commission [notice](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1661460/000119312520222442/d948162d8k.htm?ref=fdaweb.com), the company says it paused enrollment in the trial to investigate a patient's death.

The notice says the patient, who had metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer and had failed treatment with multiple anti-cancer agents, died of hepatic failure on day 19 after treatment with the Poseida investigational drug. It says there have been no other serious adverse events in trial participants.
