FDA says it is prioritizing the review of emergency use authorization (EUA) requests for Covid-19 tests based on factors such as the public health need for the product and product availability. An [update](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/coronavirus-covid-19-and-medical-devices/covid-19-test-development-and-review-faqs-testing-sars-cov-2?ref=fdaweb.com) to the Frequently Asked Questions related to Covid-19 test development and review says the agency has prioritized review of EUA requests for tests where authorization would increase testing accessibility, such as point-of-care tests, home collection tests, and at-home tests, or would significantly increase testing capacity, such as tests that reduce reliance on test supples and high-throughput, widely-distributed tests.
