FDA Debarment Order Against Ex-Insys Manager

Federal Register notice: FDA has issued an order permanently debarring Richard M. Simon from providing services in any capacity to a person that has an approved or pending drug product application. In January, Simon was convicted on one count of racketeering conspiracy related to his role as regional sales manager for Insys Therapeutics. He participated in a conspiracy whereby employees of Insys bribed medical practitioners in various states to increase Subsys prescriptions to their patients, many of whom did not have cancer, according to FDA.
