FDA Debars Physician Who Bought Drugs from Canada

Federal Register notice: FDA has issued an order debarring David J. Fishman for three years from providing services in any capacity to a person that has an approved or pending drug product application. The order is based on a finding that Fishman was convicted of a misdemeanor for causing the introduction or delivery for introduction into interstate commerce of prescription drugs that were misbranded. In 2013, he entered a guilty plea to one count of misbranding for his role as a physician in purchasing drugs, including docetaxel and mitoxantrone, from a drug distributor located in Canada. Because the drugs originated outside the U.S., they were not approved by FDA. To view the notice, click here.
