# FDA Drug Info Mobile App Available

FDA says a Drugs@FDA Express mobile application is now available through iTunes and Google Play. On the mobile app, users can search for information about FDA-approved branded and generic prescription and over-the-counter drugs and biological therapeutic products. The agency says the Express app is a streamlined version of the Drugs@FDA [Web site](https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cder/daf/index.cfm?ref=fdaweb.com).

FDA commissioner **Scott Gottlieb** says the mobile app is “bringing the public important information about drugs in an easy-to-use, mobile format. We hope that by making this important health information more easily accessible we can help empower patients and providers in making their treatment decisions.”
