# FDA Extends Shelf Life for Lilly’s Bentelovimab

FDA has [announced the authorization of an extension to the shelf-life](https://aspr.hhs.gov/COVID-19/Therapeutics/updates/Pages/important-update-20May2022.aspx?ref=fdaweb.com) from 12 months to 18 months for specific lots of the refrigerated Eli Lilly monoclonal antibody, bebtelovimab, which is currently authorized for emergency use for treating Covid-19\. The extension applies to all unopened vials of bebtelovimab that have been held under previously authorized storage conditions detailed in the product’s [Fact Sheet for Health Care Providers](https://www.fda.gov/media/156152/download?ref=fdaweb.com) and its EUA [Letter of Authorization](https://www.fda.gov/media/156151/download?ref=fdaweb.com).
