CDER Office of Generic Drugs (OGD) director Kathleen Uhl has announced her intention to retire 2/2019. Uhl joined FDA in 1998 as a CDER medical officer in clinical pharmacology. In 2010, she was appointed deputy director of CDER’s Office of Medical Policy, and became acting director of OGD in 2013 and permanent director in 2015. FDA intends to conduct a national search to fill Uhl’s position and she will provide input on the selection of her replacement.
