FDA Gives eCTD Master File Instructions

An FDA Small Business and Industry Assistance podcast gives instructions for complying with the requirement to file master files and associated documents in the electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) format. Deadline for using the format has been extended from 5/5/17 to 5/5/18 to give companies an additional year to comply with the electronic submission requirements.

The compliance date for electronically submitting NDAs, BLAs, and ANDAs remains unchanged.

The podcast includes a brief listing of the steps involved in the electronic submission process.
