# FDA Guide on Patient Remote Monitors

FDA has posted a revised [guidance](https://www.fda.gov/regulatory-information/search-fda-guidance-documents/enforcement-policy-non-invasive-remote-monitoring-devices-used-support-patient-monitoring-during?ref=fdaweb.com) entitled “Enforcement Policy for Non-Invasive Remote Monitoring Devices Used to Support Patient Monitoring During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Public Health Emergency.” The revision is intended to articulate agency policy to help expand the availability and capability of non-invasive remote monitoring devices for patient monitoring while reducing patient and healthcare provider contact and exposure to Covid-19\. The policy is intended to remain in effect only for the duration of the Covid-19 public health emergency. FDA says the document is being implemented immediately and without public comment considerations, but comments are still encouraged in accordance with the agency's good guidance practices.
