# FDA Inspection Agreements with 20 EMA Members

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) says that FDA has confirmed the capability of Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, and Latvia and now has 20 EMA member states it can rely on to replace agency inspections. “Imported products still need to be batch tested until FDA recognizes all EU member states’ authorities for human pharmaceuticals,” the EMA update [says](https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/human-regulatory/research-development/compliance/good-manufacturing-practice/mutual-recognition-agreements?ref=fdaweb.com#chapter6).
