An [FDA letter](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/letters-health-care-providers/use-correct-cycle-and-compatible-n95-respirators-when-decontaminating-respirators-sterrad?utm%5Fcampaign=FDA%20MedWatch%20-%20STERRAD%20Sterilization%20Systems%3A%20Letter%20to%20Health%20Care&ref=fdaweb.com) to healthcare facilities is reminding staff to use the correct decontamination cycle associated with certain models of the Advanced Sterilization Products Sterrad Sterilization Systems and to only decontaminate compatible N95 or N95-equivalent respirators for reuse during the Covid-19 pandemic. The letter says that the sterilization devices use vaporized hydrogen peroxide to decontaminate medical devices and that only the combination of certain models of the sterilizers and their associated decontamination cycle listed in [FDA's Emergency Use Authorization](https://www.fda.gov/media/136884/download?ref=fdaweb.com) are authorized for decontaminating compatible N95 respirators.
