FDA has notified Sun Pharma that it will [lift](http://www.sunpharma.com/Media/Press-Releases/Press%20Release%20Update%20on%20Mohali%20Facility.pdf?ref=fdaweb.com) the import alert imposed on its Mohali (Punjab) drug manufacturing facility in India, clearing the path for the company to supply approved products from the facility to the U.S. market under standard FDA regulatory requirements. Sun says it inherited the facility when it acquired Ranbaxy Laboratories in 2015.

In 2013, while Mohali was still part of Ranbaxy, the agency [added](http://fdaweb.com/login.php?sa=v&aid=D5126363&searchWords=mohali&cate=S&stid=%241%24Tn3.go0.%24E8UUahEzP8mkWCCTHn6ng1&ref=fdaweb.com) it to a 2012 consent decree with Ranbaxy after two 2012 inspections found significant current good manufacturing practice regulation violations. The import alert was imposed at the same time.

Sun says that certain unspecified consent decree conditions will continue to apply to Mohali.
