# FDA Meeting to Address Drug Shortages

FDA and Duke-Margolis Health Policy Center have planned an 11/27 [public meeting](https://healthpolicy.duke.edu/events/drug-shortage-task-force?ref=fdaweb.com) to seek stakeholder input on long-term solutions to address the drug shortage problem and identifying potential ways to implement the solutions. The meeting, *Identifying the Root Causes of Drug Shortages and Finding Enduring Solutions*, is designed to obtain feedback from additional stakeholder groups on the underlying systemic causes of drug shortages, and their recommendations for actions to prevent or mitigate their occurrences, according to an FDA notice.
