# FDA MyStudies Platform on Google Cloud

Google says it will make the FDA open-source MyStudies platform available on its Google Cloud platform to “stimulate an open ecosystem that will improve the ability of organizations to perform research that leads to better patient outcomes.” *Health IT News* [reports](https://www.healthcareitnews.com/news/fda-real-world-evidence-be-made-available-google-cloud?ref=fdaweb.com) that FDA developed MyStudies to help researchers manage and submit vast amounts of patient-generated data in a secure and compliant manner.

Google said it is working to expand the MyStudies Platform with new security and configurable privacy controls, offering the ability for research organizations to detect and personalize identifying information. According to Google Cloud Healthcare & Lifesciences product manager **Jameson Rogers**, that means that “when an organization deploys FDA MyStudies on Google Cloud, a unique and logically isolated instance of the platform is created that only the organization and its delegates are authorized to access.”
