FDA Names House Staffer Associate Commissioner

FDA has named Kimberlee Trzeciak, the chief health advisor for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, as the agency’s associate commissioner for legislative affairs. Committee chairman Frank Pallone (D-NJ) praised the hire, saying Trzeciak was one of the committee’s first hires when he became ranking member in 2016.

“Throughout her time at the committee,” he says, “Kim oversaw all legislation related to FDA and developed strong relationships with both members and staff that will be extremely beneficial as she moves to the agency.”

Trzeciak earned a bachelor's degree in 2005 from Butler University and a 2009 master's degree in government from Johns Hopkins University.

In addition to her work on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, she spent several years in progressively more responsible staff roles for former Rep. John Dingell (D-MI).
