FDA Panel to Discuss Kidney Disease Drug

Federal Register notice: FDA has announced an 11/16 Cardiovascular and Renal Drugs Advisory Committee meeting to discuss an Ardelyx NDA for tenapanor hydrochloride tablets and its use in controlling serum phosphorus levels in adults with chronic kidney disease on dialysis. Panel members will be asked to comment on whether the size of the treatment effect on serum phosphorus is clinically meaningful and whether tenapanor’s benefits outweigh its risks.
