FDA Probes Hair Loss, Rash Reports With WEN Hair Product

FDA says it is investigating reports of hair loss, hair breakage, balding, itching, and rash associated with the use of WEN by Chaz Dean hair cleansing conditioner products. So far, the agency has received 127 adverse event reports from consumers and it discovered more than 21,000 complaints reported directly to Chaz Dean, Inc. that it learned about during inspections of manufacturing and distribution facilities, an agency alert says. The agency has not determined a possible cause for the adverse events, and it will provide additional updates as new information becomes available.
