# FDA Proposes ‘Right to Try’ Summary Rule

FDA is proposing a rule to establish requirements for the deadline and contents of an annual summary required from sponsors and manufacturers who provide an eligible investigational drug for use by an eligible patient under the Right to Try Act of 2017\. The proposed [rule](https://s3.amazonaws.com/public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2020-16016.pdf?ref=fdaweb.com) says that under the law the summary is to include the number of doses supplied, the number of patients treated, the use for which the drug was made available, and any known serious adverse events from use of the drug.
