# FDA Publishes OTC Drug Monograph Forecast

FDA has published its 2025 annual forecast for planned OTC drug monograph activities. The non-binding [list](https://dps.fda.gov/omuf/forecast?utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fsource=govdelivery) shows planned monograph activities the agency intends to initiate over the next three years.

Topics of planned monograph activities listed in the 2025 forecast are:

- risks associated with codeine-containing cough medicine;
- pediatric acetaminophen dosing;
- risks associated with propylhexedrine abuse and misuse;
- nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and oligohydramnios;
- oral healthcare in infants and children;
- risks associated with using ipecac syrup as an over-the-counter poison treatment;
- pediatric cough/cold products dosing; and
- data call on data methods for anticaries drug products.
