FDA, Reagan-Udall Foundation Creating Expanded Use Repository

FDA and the Reagan-Udall Foundation are creating a “central repository or clearinghouse” where useful and relevant information on the expanded access process could be stored in one place — a “one-stop-shop” for physician and patients, according to a blog post by CDER deputy director for science operations Richard Moscicki. On 7/12, the agency is having an educational webinar to help stakeholders become familiar with the new application form. In addition, CDER recently released a guidance on a new expanded access application Form FDA 3926, a guidance with Questions and Answers on expanded access, as well as a guidance directed at industry addressing questions on charging patients for investigational drugs.
