FDA Real-World Evidence in Cancer Treatment Study

FDA has started a five-year project with ConcertAI to evaluate real-world outcomes and safety in cancer treatment. The agreement is with CDER’s Office of Clinical Pharmacology and Office of Translational Science.

An announcement says the collaboration builds on FDA’s program intended to explore the use of real-world data to generate evidence. Agency researchers will use ConcertAI’s real-world data and eurekaHealth technologies to explore generating real-world evidence and to better understand the outcomes and safety of current treatments within focal subpopulations, it says. The research is also intended to advance technologies that may aid in managing and analyzing real-world data.
