# FDA Releases 2015 Enforcement Stats

> FDA says that in Fiscal Year 2015 it had one product seizure, 21 injunctions, 17,232 Warning Letters, 2,789 recall events, 9,178 recalled products, and 14 drug product debarments. The agency’s [summary](http://www.fda.gov/downloads/ICECI/EnforcementActions/UCM484400.pdf?ref=fdaweb.com) of enforcement statistics breaks down each of those categories.

> It shows, for instance, that seizures declined from 15 in 2011 to just one in 2015\. The number of injunctions climbed from 10 in 2014 to 21 in 2015\. Some 12 of the injunctions were issued by the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, while CDRH had four, CDER had three, and CVM had two.

> The vast number of Warning Letters (16,629) were issued by the Center for Tobacco Products. The overall number of Warning Letters has increased from 673 in 2010 to 8,690 in 2014 and now to 17,232 last year.
