# FDA Rogue Twitter Account Aims to Keep Info Flowing

While a Twitter blockade ordered by the Trump Administration prevents FDA employees from communicating with the public and industry, agency employees have launched a “parody” Twitter account called @AltFDA to help keep agency information flowing. The rogue Twitter account follows in the pattern of other government agency employees who have established similar sites after having their Twitter access restricted as the new administration takes office. One of @AltFDA’s first tweets said “2 days without a post on our main social accounts. We would like to bring you great news about food & drugs but...”
