FDA Seeks Computational Heart Modeling Software

FDA has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential parties capable of providing computational human heart modeling software and services to conduct simulations and studies. The RFI says the CDRH Division of Applied Mechanics in the Office of Science and Engineering wants to identify vendors with the capability to perform whole human heart computations with a virtually implanted generic medical device using high-performance cloud computing, online access to the data, simulation, and the databases for registered users, and Web-based capabilities for viewing data and simulations.
