FDA says it has added a new case study to the Examples of Medical Device Misconnections [Web page](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/medical-device-connectors/examples-medical-device-misconnections?utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fsource=govdelivery). An agency [notice](https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/USFDA/bulletins/34a7846?ref=fdaweb.com) says the new case study involves an air inflation line from a noninvasive vascular diagnostic system erroneously connected to an intravenous catheter with the same connector as a blood pressure cuff.

The Web page describes device misconnections based on reports of adverse events received by FDA and includes tips to reduce these types of events from recurring.
