# FDA Will Review Pfizer Etrasimod NDA

FDA has accepted for review a Pfizer NDA for etrasimod for individuals living with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. A company [statement](https://www.pfizer.com/news/press-release/press-release-detail/pfizer-announces-fda-and-ema-acceptance-etrasimod?ref=fdaweb.com) says an FDA decision is expected in the second half of 2023\. Etrasimod is described as an oral, once daily, selective sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) receptor modulator designed for optimized pharmacology and engagement of S1P receptors 1, 4, and 5\. Pfizer says it is being investigated for a range of other immune-inflammatory diseases.
